🚨 Pietermaritzburg Tragedy: Woman Killed, Toddler Fighting for Life After Car Crash

A devastating crash on Table Mountain Road in Pietermaritzburg has claimed the life of a woman and left three others injured — including a 3-year-old child fighting for survival.


According to KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service, the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control, veering off the road in the early hours. Emergency teams rushed to the scene and immediately began life-saving interventions on the toddler, who had sustained critical injuries.


Two adults suffered minor injuries and received treatment from paramedics on-site. Sadly, one female occupant was declared dead before help could reach her.


Craig Botha, spokesperson for the ambulance service, confirmed that the child was given priority care and transferred to hospital in critical condition. Authorities have now launched a full investigation into what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.


This heartbreaking incident has once again highlighted the dangers on South Africa’s roads, as families mourn and pray for the recovery of the injured.
